David Philpott Funeral

David Philpott was a wonderful, loving, loyal, fun-loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend.  David was always involved with his kids, Ashley and Dakota's, activities as an active participant.  They were his true joy.  He was so proud of the fine young people they had grown to be.  David and Kelle were high school sweethearts and he was a loving husband to Kelle for over 24 years.

David enjoyed all different sports, having played Little League baseball from Farm Division through Senior Division, and played football for Highlands High School.  Later he enjoyed golfing and bowling with his many friends and family.  Later, David was involved with Dakota's football and baseball teams and Ashley and Dakota's soccer teams.

David loved to cook, making up his own recipes, and cooking for family and friends.  We all looked forward to whatever he wanted to cook because it was always great, especially his decadent desserts.

David lost his mother to cancer at age 13 and may have been why family was so important to him.  He was so loved by his wife, kids, siblings, parents and many nieces and nephews, and all the "adopted" family members.  He was always crazy and fun playing with all the kids in the family and his laugh was infectious.

David was diagnosed with LFS syndrome several years ago and had endured several cancer surgeries and chemo treatments for the last three years.  He was an absolute iron warrior in his fight against cancer, continuing to work even during chemo, bowling, golfing, and being active with his family.   He never complained and always tried to keep us from worrying.

On February 25th, David suffered a stroke as the result of tumors on his brain.  Again, he fought the good fight but finally lost his battle on February 26, 2018, surrounded by many family and friends, a tribute to his legacy.  David was only 49 years old but had lived a life filled with love for and from everyone.  He is already so missed by us all.

We now have the sad and heartbreaking task of burying David, taken from us way too soon.   Any monetary help you can give toward his funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by his family.

Rest in Peace, Mighty Warrior!
