David & Mary Ellis Hodges Support

For the last week, David just hasn’t felt like himself. On Monday in the middle of teasing his sweet wife, Mary, he had a sudden seizure and the subsequent MRI revealed a tumor in the left frontal lobe of his brain. Wednesday afternoon the doctors at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis skillfully removed all of the tumor but warned his recovery would require subsequent treatment.  On Friday, the pathology report came back and he is now  diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma. GBM is an aggressive form of malignant brain cancer that will require every treatment they can throw at it. Brain cancer has the highest percentage of cost of care for any cancer group. This family is in for a long haul. 

David is currently recovering from surgery at Abbott and with incredible faith in God’s timing and plan, he and his family are preparing for the next steps in this journey. 

David is 31 years old and lives with his wife Mary in Kenyon, MN near Minneapolis along with their 3 precious children: Lilly - 8, Levi - 4 and Harrison - 2.
