David Hansard Funeral
**In Loving Memory of David Hansard**
David Mairl Hansard, Jr. was born on December 18, 1965, to David and Virginia Hansard in Oxnard, California. He was the tenth of twelve siblings and grew up in a lively household filled with laughter and love. Known for his infectious smile and warm heart, David always found a way to bring joy to those around him. After spending his early years in Oxnard, he moved to Coalgate, Oklahoma, where he graduated high school and proudly wore the number 36 jersey as a running back for the Coalgate Wildcats, earning a reputation for his speed and determination on the field.
David served in the Navy during Operation Desert Storm, showcasing his bravery and commitment to his country.
He was a devoted father to his son, Tayden Levi Hansard, who was born on David's 36th birthday—a special bond that only deepened their love for one another.
An outdoor enthusiast, David loved to camp under the stars, cook out with family, and crank up the music for a good time. He had a knack for telling stories around the campfire, often making everyone laugh with his humorous anecdotes. His playlist was a mix of classic rock, country, and the occasional 80s pop hits.
A man of strong faith, David was an active member of the Coalgate Baptist Church for many years. He sang in the choir, bringing his joyful spirit to every service, and built deep, lasting connections with his church family. Whether it was sharing a joke or lending a helping hand, David always made others feel valued and loved.
He earned a degree in social work from Mid-America Christian University and dedicated his career to helping young people. As a youth specialist with the Chickasaw Nation and various nonprofits in Dallas, David worked tirelessly to connect youth with essential services, especially those aging out of foster care. His compassion and understanding made him a trusted mentor and friend to many.
David's legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness. He was cherished by his family and friends, who will always remember his playful spirit and generous heart. His ability to brighten a room with his presence and his unwavering support for those in need will never be forgotten.
His spirit will live on in our hearts as we hold onto the countless memories we share that brought us all closer together.
Rest in peace, dear David. You will be missed, but your laughter and love will remain with us forever.
