Hey everybody, David and Theresa Franklin need our help.

On March 18th at 12:30 in the morning, David went into cardiac arrest while he was sleeping.  Theresa, being the rockstar she is, called 911, hauled David out of bed and administered lifesaving CPR until the paramedics showed up.  He was taken to Dr. Phillips Hospital and was in ICU for 3 days.  From there he was moved to critical care and has been there ever since.

When they brought him in, his heart was working at 26% due to stress which is what caused the issue.  He was unresponsive and couldn't even squeeze Theresa's hand.  He's been slowly improving ever since.  Theresa was playing music to help stimulate him and he started singing along with Simon & Garfunkle... "Coo coo ca Choo, Mrs. Robinson"!  There's a reason he got nicknamed "Woodstock" on Family Feud!  He started to read and respond to people.  He's still babbles a little, but don't we all.  And he's pretty fidgety, but the good news is his heart is  up to 47% 10 days later.  He was able to walk the length of the hallway with a walker!

Theresa has been by his side almost nonstop, staying on top of the doctors and nurses like only she can.  She even has a couch/bed set up in the room so she can stay overnight.  We are trying to make sure she eats and takes care of herself so she doesn't end up sick too.  Their daughter Carey flew in from LA to help out however she can.  At this point, they are taking turns staying the night to make sure he's covered.    She brought him a card from Family Feud, which David read and was completely touched by.  Carey will be here for 10 days and then has to head back to LA, but she's already said she'll be back often to help.

After he gets out of Dr. Phillips, they will be moving him to ORMC for at least 2 weeks for inpatient therapy which will consist of physical, mental and occupational therapy to work on getting all of his motor skills up to speed.

Needless to say, both David and Theresa have a long road in front of them.  They do have insurance, but with the deductibles and out of pocket expenses, they will have a lot of financial burdens headed their way.

I've spoken to a lot of people who want to help and that's what we do for our family, we help however we can.

Any amount you can donate will help them get down that road.

Thank you!
