<div>I enjoy making them, and some people seem to enjoy watching them, which is really nice. But they take a lot of time — like a LOT of time — and last year I reached the point where I could only really justify making them if I did so for a good cause. I connected with Garrett Bradley (director of TIME, my #1 film of 2020) to pick a worthy non-profit near and dear to her heart, and I promised people that I would make another one of these silly things if we raised $10,000 for the Rich Family Ministries. Thanks to hundreds of generous donors, <a href="../../../f/help-support-families-of-new-orleans-prisoners" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">we were able to raise more than 13700</a>. Weird that you can't put a dollar sign or a comma in a hyperlink on this website but whatever, please just know that I tried. I tried.

<div>Anyway I'm doing all that again. This year I've partnered with THE POWER OF THE DOG director Jane Campion, who's selected three extraordinary non-profits which — like so many women in Texas clinging to what's left of their reproductive rights — are in urgent need of support. Those three non-profits are:

<div><a href="https://avowtexas.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>AVOW</strong></a> <strong>: </strong>Avow is a c4 non-profit that works to secure unrestricted abortion access for every Texan. Avow Foundation for Abortion Access is a c3 non-profit that works to educate Texans on the importance of abortion access. Avow PAC is a political action committee that works to elect champions for abortion access.

<div><a href="https://www.lilithfund.org/portfolio/about/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>LILITH FUND</strong></a><strong>:</strong> We provide financial assistance and emotional support while building community spaces for people who need abortions in Texas—unapologetically, with compassion and conviction. Through organizing and movement-building, we foster a positive culture around abortion, strengthen people power, and fight for reproductive justice in and with our communities.

<div><a href="https://www.westfund.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>WEST FUND</strong></a> <strong>: </strong>Getting an abortion in Texas is even harder thanks to the new laws that have restricted access. But clinics in and around El Paso are STILL open and we're funding--but it's hard because abortions are so expensive.
