Ginger Erickson

The Erickson Family have been residents of Rawlins, Wyoming for over 36 years where they raised their wonderful children, Chris and Andy,  and helped many children throughout the community. Ginger has been a great teacher in the Rawlins Elementary School System since 1995, having earned the love and respect of her co-workers and her students. David has served his community with distinction since 1981. Both of these wonderful people have loved, helped, and played vital roles in the Rawlins community. Although Ginger has always dealt with disabilities and chronic pain, she has pushed through the pain to care for her family, and David was her compassionate care giver through those times where surgery was a necessary fact of life. Anyone in the community that has the pleasure and honor to know this family knows that they have faced serious unexpected health issues recently. These issues have left them in a pickle. Those who know them are aware they would never want to ask or burden others for financial help. Ginger has had many surgeries in the past to keep on her feet and is facing yet another battle in surgery to attempt repair of her shattered femur. This will be her 34th leg surgery. With this, David has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. This has been a sucker punch to the gut for the entire family as the only symptom presented was a sore back. David's Cancer was not diagnosed until May which proved to be too late. The family is trying to come together and deal with the inevitable outcome.
