David and Donna's Medical Fund

Hi, my name is Sarah Aud. I am David and Donna Auds daughter. Myself and my brother, Aaron, came to the decision of starting a Go Fund Me account for our parents due to recent events. Our dad has worked very hard for many years to make sure our family was always provided for and never lacked. Due to this, he placed his health on the back burner. Fast forward 30 years. He has been dealing with excruciating pain in his back for multiple years now which led to herniated discs in his back and now collapsed vertebrae. Due to needing to have a job so that they would have income, he pushed it to the side and did not have it addressed. Now it has progressed to the point of having nerve damage which has made his feet numb and made it extremely difficult to walk. Consequently, this is affecting his job. The only option to improve the situation is a triple spinal fusion. The doctor put him on medical leave that began December 5th. He is scheduled to have surgery the 19th with a week stay in the hospital, followed by therapy after. The main reason for this account is because somehow when my dad started this job in June, he did not get signed up for Short Term Disability, therefore he and my mom will be without any income throughout this whole process. He also does not qualify for Long Term Disability until he has been with the company for a year. The surgeon has told us that this surgery requires 5-6 months to fully recover from. Not only will there be medical bills but there will also be "normal" monthly bills such as groceries, car payment, electric, etc. It is very hard to make this page because myself and my entire family are strong believers in Christ and His constant provision for us.
