My name is Heather Larre and my siblings (Krystin and Wesley) and I have set up this page for my dad, David Ebbers. He and my mom, Diane Ebbers have been happily married for 40 years and are on an incredibly tough journey called CANCER. We want to share their story with the world, so that together we can fight this terrible disease and win.
Here’s a note from my mom about their journey:
Almost eight years ago, Dave successfully beat Mantle Cell Lymphoma and had been in remission since. In spring of 2018 we got the news that the same cancer had returned. During Dave's first battle with cancer we were significantly impacted financially and praise God after many years we were able to pay off this debt. Although our faith is being tested, we have continued to believe and serve a God who we know will pour out his grace and mercy on Dave and our family. As Dave's journey began for a second time his Dr. recommended a treatment plan that would offer minimal side effects but would come at a high cost to us. So in Spring 2018 his GoFundMe page was set up to help with these expenses during the first phase of his treatment. Then in late summer 2019 we learned that Dave's treatment was no longer effective and his cancer was making a full comeback and told we need to fight it aggressively another way! We are currently meeting with several oncologists to see what the new course of treatment will be. We are now in the 19th month of this journey and without the love, financial support and prayers we don't know how we could have made it through. Due to the high cost of these new treatments we have recently re-activated his page and updated his story. Please continue to share our page and story as we know this new treatment option will come with new challenges. You all have been amazing to us!
We know that Dave’s life is ultimately in God’s hands and we cannot walk through this journey without God or the support of family, friends and even loving strangers who read our story.
Dave’s life is worth the fight. Every life is worth the fight and we’re ready to beat this cancer!
