Dave's Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

August 22, 2017 was a beautiful day, Graham Hobbs- Mr. Dave's 5th grandchild entered the world. This was just hours after his entire world was flipped upside down by news that has changed his life. We found out Mr. Dave's weakness and random symptoms weren't due to his awesome diet plan and weight lost but rather to stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to his liver and lung. At 62 years old, terminal cancer seems unimaginable but it is now his reality, our reality. As a family we take it on together, chemo treatments every other week are hard on him, but with beautiful grandchildren who come over to keep his spirits up and wonderful kids and wife Gina, who always go with him to doctors appointments and sit with him during treatments, he takes it well. Mr. Dave loves his family, he tells me a lot that they are what keep him going when he feels like it's just too hard. That, and his faith. We know God's power and his work, which is so much bigger than any disease. And even though the doctors remind Mr. Dave this disease is forever, we have hope it may not be. However, Dave's doctors have recently told him this chemo is not temorary either. When he finishes his first 6 months of treatment he will begin chemo pills. The bills of chemo continue to add up and knowing the expenses will never end made Zach and I compelled to start a fundraiser in honor of Mr. Dave. Any amount donated would really help ease the stress Dave has over his current and future medical bills. If you cannot donate, prayers are even more powerful. Thank you so much.
