Dave's Medical Fund
Donation protected
On November 5, 2014, Dave was officially diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. We have been blown away at the outpouring of love and support we have received from friends and family. Thank you all for the extra encouragement, hugs, and prayers on our behalf. They have made a huge difference in our ability to cope with everything that cancer brings.
As you might imagine, cancer costs a lot of money. I was very fortunate to have enough squirrelled away in my Simple IRA retirement fund to cover our insurance out-of-pocket maximum and get us through December (barely), but unfortunately Dave’s treatment will extend into next year and our insurance deductible/OOP max will reset on January 1st, so we will have to pay them again. We will need a little help with that, especially if Dave has to miss more work, so we set up this campaign at the request of a dear friend who wanted to help. Feel free to donate or share on Facebook, but PLEASE only donate if you truly have extra money and nothing better to do with it.
Thank you again for your support. This continues to be a life-changing experience for us and we are fortunate to have so many wonderful friends to help us along the way.
