Dave Smachetti Memorial Fund

If you know Dave, you know about his commitment to decency, to helping others, and to showing up no matter what. He made a point of keeping old school manners alive and always said good morning to every single employee in the office which meant a lot to so many. He was determined to ensure new team members closed their first deal on one of his searches, and provided many of us with guidance and mentorship over the years. Dave was one of the kindest, most decent and hard working people I have had the privilege of working with. 


Dave passed away on Sunday December 27 in the early morning, surrounded by his family, in their family home, and in the arms of his sons. Dave leaves behind his wife Cynthia (who he met 35 years ago, and enjoyed a marriage of 33 years) along with their children; Hudson (14), Hayden (17), Chelsea (31) and Ashton (33). Dave is a grandfather five times over (Adeline, Noah, Isabella, Sofia and Eloise) he turned 63 last year and was an incredibly devoted and loyal father, friend and colleague. He will be sorely missed by the many people whose lives he improved, influenced and touched – he was even matchmaker for a few Lucas Group marriages.

A celebration of his life will take place on January 11th, 2021 at 1:30pm Pacific time at  the following address:

This will be a graveside service, all who would like to attend are welcome and are asked to please respect social distancing and wear masks.
