Dave Laituri Memorial Fund

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Laituri on the morning of December 30, 2020.

Dave battled lung and brain cancer for the last 1.5 years and underwent numerous surgeries and treatments that gave him more time to spend with things he loved to do. Dave passed away peacefully in his sleep due to non-cancer related issues.

We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral, medical expenses, rent for the apartment he shared with his son Calvin, and other expenses to help his two children, Calvin and Tanja, through this difficult time.

His son Calvin is still in college and is not able to finance the cost of the apartment on his own. 

Everyone who knew Dave knew his laugh, and that he was always the quickest to the pun(ch). He was a brilliant designer, and saw all the hidden details of the world that were so often overlooked by others. He had this innate ability to make you see the world in an entirely new way, and made you smile while doing it.


He spent this summer with Tanja and Calvin, exploring everything Vermont had to offer. Enjoying the simplicity of life by spending hours getting lost amidst the beautiful back roads surrounded by forests and birdsong, to help heal both physically and mentally from the ongoing treatments for his brain cancer. They shared stories over good food, watched the sunsets from mountain tops, explored old barns, and picked apples in the fall. 


Dave was not only a great friend but an amazing father and will be missed by many.

As Calvin’s girlfriend I just want to do anything I can to help, anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated and go directly to his family to support them in this time of need.
