CHOSEN: Dave and Emily are adopting

Like many newlyweds, this was their dream. But God had an alternative version planned for Dave and Emily. After a beautiful wedding, Emily got the itch to become a mama. After a few months, Mr. and Mrs. Lee were pregnant.
But little "Cheeto" (as they affectionately called baby, after seeing the ultrasound pics) had triploidy, a lethal chromosomal disorder in which the majority of cases lead to miscarriage. Dave and Em experienced pregnancy loss around thirteen weeks, and since then have been unable to get pregnant, even after multiple fertility treatments. Having been adopted herself, Emily realized that she and Dave could become mama and daddy to a little one through other means.
In Psalms 82:3, we are called to "defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed" (v3).
Adoption is not for everyone; each family is carefully crafted by our Creator. Dave and Emily have been chosen. Handpicked by God to extend their home and their hearts to one of his children. They are organized and eager; both are strong and confident in the possibilities that await. They trust that He has CHOSEN them to be parents, just as He has CHOSEN a little child for them.

The average adoption is around $40k. Mind-blowing, right? But if God has started this process, He will complete it to His glory. Once a match is made, Dave and Emily will be paying for the birthmother's medical expenses. Attorney fees will have to paid, along with the delivery. Countless fees just to get little baby home, nevermind the expenses after this chosen one is with his/her family!
