Warrior Dash for Cancer Research

In July of 2017, within weeks of each other, two strong, independent, beautiful women were diagnosed with metastatic disease (phase IV cancer); one (Gina Crowther) stemming from an ocular melanoma, the other (Celeste Wood) from pancreatic cancer.
Both of our families have been part of the Lake Orion educational community for years, Gina as an Outreach Services librarian at the Orion Township Public Library, and Celeste as a teacher at Scripps Middle School. Their husbands, Kevin and Jared, work together at Lake Orion High School.
Gina unfortunately lost her battle on October 30, 2017 while Celeste continues to fight every day. We have been very fortunate to have received enormous amounts of support from our friends, families, and community. We are truly grateful for it and want to give back.
100% of the funds raised will be donated to cancer related charities like the American Cancer Society , The Ocular Melanoma Foundation , and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in the names of Gina Crowther and Celeste Wood.
In memory of Gina, and in support of Celeste, we have decided to raise funds in the name of these women to help the fight against cancer by running in Warrior Dash Michigan on July 28, 2018. As of now, Kevin, his brothers Josh and Joe, along with Gina's brother Cody, are already registered and running in the race.
While every donation received is appreciated, we have created a way for you to recognized even further based on the amount donated if you choose to do so.
We will be having Team T-Shirts made to wear during the race. Everyone who donates at least $25 will be able to either have their name (or the name of someone else) put on the back of the shirt.
Anyone who donates at least $100 will be able to place a name on the shirt and receive a T-shirt sent to them.
Please leave what name you would like on the shirt and your shirt size in a message.
