Help Nana rebuild - Hurricane Irma
Donation protected
My Nana, a resident of Fort Myers Florida, was one of the thousands of people devastated by Hurricane Irma. Her beautiful little home that my Nana and Poppy worked for, for so long sustained significant damage. Like many other people in the Florida area, she unfortunately did not have hurricane insurance due to the astronomical rates charged by the insurance companies. She has received a couple estimates of over $10,000 in damage. Unfortunately, FEMA has denied her as they state that she should have had hurricane insurance. The extent of her damages includes one room of the house that has a collapsed ceiling which caused severe water damage to the walls, floors and most belongings that were in that room. The water also came in the front door ruining most of her living room floors. As well as her Sun room that sustained a lot of damage to the windows, floors, etc. Since my Poppy is no longer with us and she lives on a fixed income it is nearly impossible for her to afford to rebuild. My Nana is now suffering from anxiety and depression worrying about her house and how she's going to fix it.
I know many people are nervous to donate to some of the organizations as you aren't really sure where the money is going and if it is actually being used for good. So I ask that if you would like to help with a hurricane Irma victim that you choose my nana for your donation.
Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts!
