Heart transplant eval in San Fran

I have been on the transplant list for 4 years.  I have a Left Ventricular Assist Device "LVAD" implanted as of 2013.  UCSD has accepted me in their program, however I am "Status 7” which means I am on hold.  I have been in that position for the past 2 yrs. Due to complications of this, I spent 7/29/2017 thru 7/31/2017  in Emergency at Sharp and UCSD Hillcrest. This has promted me to increase my efforts for transplant.

It is important to note, San Diego is considered a small organ availability area. LA and San Fran. are large area availability.   My goal is to receive a transplant in the next few years. Therefore my solution is to be "Dual Listed" defined as, listed in both San Diego and San Fran i.e. Northern Cal and Southern Cal.  For that I have to be evaluated by each facility.  I have received referrals and have appointments at UCSF Heart Transplant Center & California Pacific Medical Center. for 9/13 thru 09/23.  

I am working to raise funds that would facilitate that trip.  I need support for food, transportation, and shelter.  Due to the status of my LVAD and the recent emergency room visit,  it is not in my best interest to fly . I have set up my transportation thru Amtrak and will use that.
