Help Ben Live for Tomorrow

This is Ben! I am his bestfriends mom!  On this day last August, he went with me and my son to the Everglades for the first time.  He moved here from Texas with his mother who has continuously struggled to make ends meet as a single parent.  He has moved from home to home, and during his 10th grade year of school subsequently thought his only choice was to drop out.  He has expressed feelings of depression and thoughts of harming himself as a young boy.  He has since isolated himself from the rest of the world and decided that taking on a part-time job would be better for him and his mother in terms of finances.  He used to be best-friends with my son and recently came over to tell us that he was finally going away for treatment.  He stated he overheard his mother saying that she could only afford 2 weeks, but I have now learned the treatment facility thinks he needs much more.  When I asked him about his feelings and depression, I approached him as someone who loves and cares about him and also as an RN.  He stated he wanted to die and had thought about how he would take his life.  He said that it would be better than suffering and making others suffer.  He said that he felt that it was to much for others to pay for him to feel "better".   He wants to get better!!! He wants to be in a treatment facility where he is going to experience a sense of himself and not have to take on the burden of the world!  So many young teenagers end their lives without ever receiving the help this young man soo desperately desires.  He wants to feel normal and have a future.  Due to the circumstances of his mother working full-time with several different jobs just to make ends meet, he needs your support!  He needs the help to stay living and healthy! If he can't get the help he needs for lack of funds, who can anyone really help??? He is crying to be normal and to do the right thing! He is still a child!  We need to help Ben regain his childhood and help him become the man he deserves and wants to be!  Please help him and donate any amount you can so that Ben can continue to get the help he wants!  Please help me restore some sort of innocence and hope into a boy that is begging for it!  Don't let Ben be another victim of childhood depression and suicide!  Let's make a difference for someone begging for a second chance in life!
