<div>John und May warten. Seit hunderten von Jahren warten sie darauf, dass ein “alles veränderndes Ereignis” sie wie ein “Tier im Dschungel”anspringt. Ob es sich dabei um eine Katastrophe oder die Erlösung handelt, wissen sie nicht. Nach Jahrhunderten des Wartens sind die beiden im Neuen Schauspiel Leipzig gelandet, in dem heute Nacht die letzte Party der Stadt steigt. Denn: Das Haus wurde verkauft, die Räumung steht kurz bevor. Zwischen den Tanzenden spuken die Geister durch den Trockeneis-Nebel. Beide vereint in der drängenden Sehnsucht, dass die Gegenwart nicht bleiben kann, wie sie ist.

<div>“Das Tier im Dschungel” ist eine immersive Hausbespielung, bei der das Leipziger Theaterkollektiv “Sämtliche Gewerke” gemeinsam mit dem DJ-Kollektiv “Sachsentrance” im ganzen Gebäude des Neuen Schauspiels einen letzten theatralen Rave veranstaltet.
