Daryl's kickin' cancer's @$$ fund!

Well friends as most of you know by now our dear friend Daryl Pike of the famous Nashville duo; Danny Daryl is once again battling cancer of the tongue for the second time This year. Most unfortunate of all, however, is the fact that Daryl had to wait over two months before he could even begin to seek diagnosis because of a gap in insurance. (Though that all-too-familiar pain was getting worse by the day).

He endured months of pain while working full time at Nashville CARES (his new job which requires massive amounts of time on the phone with clients) and his long-time job as shuttle driver/ property guide at the Fontanel which is also a day of verbal communication with the many tourists who visit the Fontanel in a day. All while re-learning to talk from his last tongue surgery in which the tip of his tongue became the side of it. But he's taken it all in surprising stride and has kept his positivity and his saucy attitude throughout.

Daryl will be having a huge surgery on August 16th in which the Dr will remove a large portion of cancer from his tongue with a re-build to follow. Fortunately his insurance will be covering a majority of these costs. But there will be no way for Daryl to even consider going back to either of his jobs for likely a month post-op. He will need time to focus on healing and re-learning to talk once again. He is not full-time at the Fontanel nor has he worked long enough at Nashville Cares to receive short-term disability.

So here's your opportunity to help rally behind Danny and Daryl to help cover what Daryl won't be able to and to also to give Danny some time to be there for him as well. :)
