Tragically In the early hours of Sunday, August 27, 2017, my cousin, Darwin Reid lost his life to a massive heart attack at the young age of 46.
He leaves behind his wife Kathy and their sons, Devin (10) and Tristan (7). Darwin's unexpected passing has left a huge emptiness in their lives.
Nothing in your life can ever prepare you for losing your husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin or best friend. He was a big man, with a big heart. If the tables were turned, he would stop at nothing to make sure he did everything he could for all of us. We all want nothing but the best for Kathy and the boys, they were his world, and he was their "rock".
The past few months he had finally approached a 10+ year dream.... starting the foundation of his new family home. He and his cousin Corey had began the groundworks for the foundation and was awaiting the finality with the bank.... he had everything worked out and his dream was becoming a reality.
We want to be able to do everything in our power to help Kathy and the boys. Kathy has lost the love of her life, and the boys lost their mentor, their hero, their Dad.
Darwin was the sole provider for his family. The costs are adding up for a now single mom of two boys. Funeral expenses on top of monthly expenses, loans and only a part time job, this family will be struggling.
Darwin believed with all his heart his wife and boys deserved the best. We want to be able to provide them with some financial peace while they grieve their loss and navigate their way through this new life without him.
