Darwin Beach Cleaner

We are raising funds to purchase a second-hand beach cleaner unit to minimise plastic micro litter into the marine environment.

This will be particularly useful after Territory Day to collect the rubbish left on the beach.

The beach cleaner unit will tow tow behind a tractor with a 25mm screen to collect small and large pieces of litter, rubbish and debris (includes micro plastics, bottle caps, cigarette buttes, plastic beverage containers, etc).  This litter can be disposed of to avoid it getting into the sea.

The unit will be managed by Keep Australia Beautiful Council NT and will be available for use by other community groups.
