Cala High and her Father Darryl Kipe Need Your Help!
My dear friend and colleague Cala High is in need of prayers and contributions as she and her family help her father, Darryl Kipe, 59, begin his battle with a rare cancer, Mantle Cell Lymphoma. She and her family knew that when he received the diagnosis of this rare form of lymphoma several weeks ago that it was going to be a difficult journey, but today, November 20, 2017, he discovered from his biopsy that he has only weeks to a month to live if he does not begin an intense round of chemotherapy tomorrow. He will have 6 hours tomorrow, and then an additional hour on Wednesday. Chances are he will be in the hospital by Thanksgiving depending on how his body is reacting to this extreme amount of chemotherapy.
Darryl and his wife Jeannie are not being paid from their jobs and are traveling to Hershey, PA for treatment. He has just been released from his home town hospital, and after discharge the family stayed in a hotel last night so that they were able to get to his chemotherapy and oncologist appointment this morning. It appears they could have future nights spent away from home. They are experiencing financial difficulties from this past month and their journey is just beginning. Please know that no amount is too small to help them with treatment cost, hotels, doctors, monthly bills and helping them with house payments. I am sure this is not all they are facing financially, but this is what is currently needed. I know that there will never be enough for all of his needs, but it is a start and my hope is that this can lighten some of their burden. I know that this is something we can do to help Cala and her father. The family thanks you for all of your support and prayers at this time.
