Anyone who knows Darryl Hightower knows that this guy would give you his last dollar if he thought you needed it more than he does. He is beloved by friends and family. The center of his life is his faith in Christ Jesus and his steadfastness in that faith is an inspiration to all.
He has fought cancer 5 different times in his life. At least once in a long and traumatic way. He would never complain about it himself, except to ask for prayer. He has complete trust in God and gratitude.
However having a serious illness once is often a set back in life, much less 5 times.
Darryl has insurance that has covered many, but not all, of his medical expenses.
Darryl just completed 6 weeks of radiation therapy, during that time he went to work every day but there were times he accepted being sent home due to not enough work at the factory as he was fighting fatigue.

It has been almost a year since Darryl started his last round of radiation treatments and reports have been good since that time, however, he continues to deal with many of the after effects of the surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation that saved his life.
Most pressing at this time has been the effects on his teeth which have been weakened from chemotherapy, medications and radiation. Contributions recently helped him to pay for the extraction of 4 teeth, the filling of 1 cavity and creation of the partial to replace them. So thankful he was able to do this as it has significantly improved his health and well being.
