Hi friends! Sara and I are currently volunteering in Chios, Greece at the Souda Refugee Camp with the Norwegian organization A Drop In The Ocean. Our days here are spent helping to serve meals to over 1000 refugees, playing with little kids living in the camp, and helping stock and work in the warehouse where supplies are kept. Souda was initially meant to be a short term camp for 600 refugees (mostly from Syria, but coming from many different countries) and is now far over capacity with many people having lived there almost a year.
We're hoping to raise funds from friends and family over the next few days so that we can personally shop for much needed supplies like strollers, travel bags, and clothing that we will distribute directly in the camp. If you donate we can even send you a picture of what your donation bought.
No donation is too small and anything we don't spend in the next few weeks will be donated to A Drop in the Ocean for future supplies. Thank you in advance!
