Dear friends, family & amazing people!
This is our story…
In August, 2016 my husband Darrhyl and I learned that our lifelong and childhood friend of over 20 years Ryan Rodriguez would need a kidney transplant. Ryan, besides being an amazing friend, is a husband and a father of 5 adorable children. He has been battling with kidney issues since he was a child and despite taking an active role to sustain his kidney function, it has now taken a toll on his life. To live, he is now on peritoneal dialysis and has been placed on the kidney transplant waiting list. He and many others have been praying for someone to bless his family with a kidney.
Anyone who knows Darrhyl knows that he is selfless and has a heart of gold. He helps others without expecting anything in return. He is a blessing! As soon as he found out that Ryan would need a kidney transplant, he knew right away, and without a doubt, that he wanted to be tested to be his donor. In late December 2016 he got the news that he was a perfect match to donate a kidney, and both were cleared for surgery. So, the process has begun!
Unfortunately due to outside costs not covered by insurance, being the head of household, & 6-8 weeks of no income due to recovery time, we will be left with many financial expenses. He is an outstanding husband and a loving father to our 2 beautiful children. We are looking for YOUR KIND SUPPORT as we prepare for the transplant on May 16, 2017.
