We’ve created this page to help our good friend Darren Candy, he needs our urgent support.
Anyone that knows Darren or has had the pleasure of meeting him over the years will know that he is one of the most kindhearted, funniest, honest guys you’ll ever meet. Most of you will have passed by one of his bars he ran in Ibiza or worked in a resort with him, and the majority of us have listened to one of his stories that most probably didn’t quite happen the way he told it, that’s Darren, everyones friend, some one that would do anything for you.
Darren has unfortunately been dealt a very unfair hand from the Judicial system in Ibiza. This spans back 12 years ago in one of the bars he was running. He was prosecuted for noise pollution something that is hard to avoid when you are running a bar in Ibiza. Nothing more than playing music a bit too loud in a busy bar keeping 100’s of holiday makers entertained night after night for 6 months. After an ongoing court battle that Darren thought it had been resolved 2 years ago. He was at home 3 nights ago when 4 policemen arrested him in front of his wife and children. He’s still being detained in prison until next week at the earliest, despite our efforts to try to get him out. We are all facing difficult times at the minute and no one knows when we will return to normal life again. Our good friend is potentially facing up to 7 months in prison and a €36,000 fine that needs to be paid ASAP to get him out of this nightmare and back with his family.
The premise of this page is to help raise as much as we can for Mr. Candy and his family, he's a husband, a father and more importantly, he's our friend, and he needs his friends more than ever right now. If you found yourself in this situation you would want your friends to be there for you, and for sure, you could 100% count on Darren.
