Darrell Kahiamoe’s Celebration of Life and Love

It is with great sadness we share with everyone that Darrell Akiu Kahiamoe has passed away at the age of 64. He was born on December 15, 1960 on the island of Maui and spent his entire life in beautiful Huelo, the place that he loved more than anywhere else, and the place he took his last breath. His life was so full of family, music, love, and his East Maui community. He spent his life helping others in any way he could. He was the proudest father of his only child, Ginger Leilani Kahiamoe, and the proud grandfather of his 6 grandchildren, Macoy, Antone, Alan Boy, Loyal, Ti Amo, and Keanu. Then in 2021, he welcomed his first great grandchild, baby Ohi, into this world. His daughter and all of his grandchildren were the absolute loves and joys of his life. He is also survived by his big beautiul Kahiamoe and Huelo ‘Ohana, who he loved and lived for every day, he would truly do anything for his family.

If you are able to help, we are asking for donations to give “Dad”, “Papa Darrell”, “Son”, “Brother”, “Uncle” “Friend”, “THE coconut man”, the goodbye he deserves, full of all the things he loved the most-music, food, and most importantly, ‘ohana. All moneys raised will go towards his cremation, service, and bringing his daughter and grandchildren home from Oregon to say goodbye to the one and only.
