Darrell Halcomb Memorial Fundraiser

Darrell "Water Taxi" Halcomb , 66, passed away  Friday October 5th. He was an employee and the water taxi driver for Jamestown Resort and Marina for over 40 years! He was loved by all who came in contact with him.  Always smiling, and full of jokes and laughter. The kids all remember his Donald Duck impression as they rode the taxi across the harbor. Darrell had been ill for the last few years and was unable to continue his work at Jamestown Marina. This led to medical bills, and sadly, funeral expenses for his wife Kaye of 36 years and their family, Samantha his daughter, son in law Jason Rogers, and his 3 grand children , Noah, Gabe, and Lexi, who meant the world to Darrell.  We are reaching out to all those who loved Darrell and were part of his life, whether it was family and friends, or the thousands who called his name over the radio every summer weekend, year after year, hitching a ride to their boat.  Any donations will gladly be accepted and appreciated, to help his family through this and we will make sure the donations will be given directly to his wife Kaye so that they may have some relief from all the expenses during these hard times.
