Darnell Mineo's Tragic Story

I am beginning this campaign on behalf of my cousin Darnell Mineo...I love her so much. She's funny, kind and loves cats. Her father was murdered when she was 22 months old and her mother remarried when Darnell was seven. Her mother either did not know or chose to ignore the abuse Darnell suffered from her stepfather and step-brothers. When her stepfather died he left her mother with nothing and her step-brothers, whom her mother had cared for and loved as her own, told her mother to get out of the house she had lived in for 30 years. Without hesitation Darnell and her husband struggled to buy a house to give her mother a home and make her happy.
As the years passed, Darnell's mother had a stroke, showed signs of dementia and became difficult to live with. Darnell could not work full-time because her mother demanded more and more of her attention. Darnell's mother was 94 when she died in January 2018. It was a very sad day but in a way, I hoped that my cousin could finally pull her life together.
Sadly, two months after the death of her mother, Darnell was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. She never smoked a day in her life. The day she was diagnosed, doctors immediately sent her for an emergency hip replacement. The cancer had metastasized to her hip and spine. She has had radiation and strong chemo since then. The doctors tell her it is not curable but can be treated, hopefully giving her a quality life.
Because of all the expenses incurred by Darnell throughout the years of taking care of her mother, and the added medical expenses of cancer treatment, Darnell has been unable to keep up with her mortgage payments and living expenses. She is now facing foreclosure and trying to be brave, but I know she is frightened.
I know she would never ask for anything for herself, and this is why I am asking for her. I love her so much. Please help her.
