Darlene Laffin is 47 and lives in Lantz, Nova Scotia with her two children Keilidh and Devon. She is a very upbeat, smiling and happy person.
She is known for her huge heart , selflessness, and her willingness to do for others.
Some of you may recognize her from the reception desk at the East Hants Sportsplex where she works part time, on top of her new full time position at D.O.T in Waverley.
THE FIGHT BEGINS
In Mid January of 2018, Darlene was diagnosed with breast cancer, and required immediate surgery.
The surgery took place on Jan 30, 2018. She will now undergo chemo and radiation treatments. This will keep her off of work for up to 6 months.
Even after her diagnosis, she remains upbeat, hopeful, smiling and laughing !
A CALL TO ACTION !
For anyone who knows Darlene, you know she's a fighter. She will not let this beat her. We, as her friends, can help her win this fight.
The goal of this Go Fund Me Page is to raise $20,000 to help offset the costs of travelling for treatment, and everyday bills that seem to pile up.
Being off work for up to 6 months won't help either. Let us all join together here and now !! Let's show Darlene just how much she is loved, cared for, appreciated, and valued as a friend and
