Darlene- hospital bills and therapy

Many have reached out with what is going on with Darlene. We haven’t been able to see grandma since before Thanksgiving. She was bleeding and using the bathroom over 15 times a day and was in a lot of pain. She’s been in the hospital with no visitors. Grandma had 18 inches of her colon removed due to inflammation that wouldn’t heal from diverticulitis. Due to the inflammation they had to place a colostomy bag. Soon after it became infected and she has a sponge and vacuum device to help clean it up. This past week she had a split causing more bleeding, they did another surgery to fix that issue; however, there was a new issue causing bleeding. She has a lot of inflammation at the entrance of her body. They have not gotten results for this or a plan to fix it but are trying to move her to a therapy facility despite our wishes. Grandma can not walk, sit, stand or anything due to months of being off her feet. The hospital has requested the deductible to be paid in order for the insurance to continue to cover her stay and to send her to therapy. Anything you can contribute helps and our family greatly appreciates it. ❤️
