Rebuilding of The Hamilton's Home

Donation protected
On Wednesday, December 20th at around 5:00 pm, the Hamilton Family were sitting in their usual spot on the verandah when they smelled smoke.  They checked around the back of the yard figuring a neighbor had started a fire to burn brush.  Very quickly they realized it was their precious home of 41 years that was engulfed in flames. They had just enough time to evacuate the verandah adn within 15 minutes the entire house was gone.
Located across the street from Jake's Place this house was a landmark within Treasure Beach.  Miss Laurie, the original resident of this home, was like a village nurse adn many within the community would come seeking her advice and assistance.  The next generationof Hamiltons saw Wyno running his machanic shop from the yard.  And, of course, Darin James who many of you may know from driving Jake's guests and starting the Treasure Beach Sports Park was born adn raised in this house with his mother Sylvia still residing there.
All of us who live in Treasure Beach were devasted by this news.  Anyone coming to the yard for whatever the reason would be greeted by Miss Sylvia Hamilton ( former post mistress at the Sandy Bank Postal Annex) and her sister Therese  Hamilton ( dressmaker) who were pretty much always sitting on the verandah and ready to chat a bit with you and inquiry on how you were doing.  They shared shared the house iwth 3 grand nieces, one grandnephew and one great grandnephew.
Due to the fast spreading fire they were not able to save anything.  Miss Therese's sewing machines, material and supplies, the children's school books and supplies, all clothing , furntiure, even reading glasses could not be saved. The house itself is condemned and needs to be completely torn down and cleared away before they can begin to rebuild.
We are asking our amazing Treasure Beach community to once again join us to give whatever supportyou can give to assist this beloved Treasure Beach family. Many within the community have already volunteered their services to help rebuild.  We are confident that with all of us working together we can make sure they will be comfortable in their own home again soon.

Our goal is to raise 136,000.00 for materials and supplies to rebuild.
