Dare to Dream of a New Library Building

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to help build a new library in Carthage, IL. Donations are made to the Carthage District Library Foundation, and all contributions will make an impact. Thanks in advance for contributing to this cause that means so much to me.

The Carthage community dreams of a new library building, which will be handicapped accessible and include a large room for meetings and programs, two study rooms, a drive-up window, and up-to-date wiring for technology. The voters passed a bond referendum, the library secured a construction grant, and a building site was donated. However, construction costs have skyrocketed, and the bids came in at twice the original estimates. The project has been delayed until more funding can be secured.

The purpose of the Carthage District Library Foundation is to raise funds, seek grants, and accept and manage significant gifts and endowments on behalf of the Carthage Public Library District. Currently, all funds raised are for the Capital Campaign to construct a new building.

Carthage Public Library District promotes literacy, offers educational programs for all ages, and provides public access to computers, printing, and Wifi for our small, rural community in west-central Illinois.
