My daughter’s name is Kyra De La Cruz, and she is a freshman at The Putney School, in Putney, Vermont. She has recently been accepted to the CIEE Global Navigator High School Abroad program. She will have the opportunity to spend four weeks in Guanajuato, Mexico, learning about Spanish culture and improving her Spanish language skills. As a single provider of three children, it is challenging to finance this entire program.
Kyra has been studying Spanish since middle school, and she still struggles with the language. She is so excited to learn more about Spanish culture and language by participating in this Summer Abroad Program. We know that one of the best ways to learn language is through an authentic cultural experience. CIEE is the leading nonprofit, nongovernmental student exchange organization in the U.S. and has been operating since 1947.
As a Global Navigator, Kyra will have the opportunity to receive college credit for this experience, which could go towards her possible major in college. The tuition for this program is $4,700 plus airfare and in-country expenses. This tuition includes all of her language lessons, cultural classes, excursions, housing, and meals.
Would it be possible for you to assist Kyra in reaching this goal?
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. The tuition is due on April 13, 2018.
