DARE TO DREAM FARM and SANCTUARY is seeking funding to support--feed and care for the animals that live and thrive on the farm. Many animals in need have lived on the farm over the last 15 years. These are the present stars!

WILBUR-is a farm favorite, especially with the children. He is an 800 lb. Yorkshire Pig who was rescued from a neglectful situation in western Massachusetts. Wilbur has lived on the farm for 4 years. His most favorite item is food, and his favorite thing is to get belly rubs!! Wilbur also loves to root... and is really good at excavating!

JUNIOR- is the cutest little pot belly pig, who loves his 4 meals daily of fruits and vegetables! He came from a situation where someone initially got him to barbecue him.........They took him to a slaughter house, but he was saved because he wasn't yet fixed (which makes the meat too tough).  Pigs are very smart and social. Junior loves to get rubs behind his ears....and of course his belly rubbed!

CONNOR & JET- came to the farm in February after their elderly owner died. The estate was going to have these two beautiful horses euthanized if no home was found. JET is a 21 year old Quarter Horse gelding and Connor is a 28 year old Appaloosa gelding! Both horses are very sweet and deserve a forever home where they receive lots of TLC.

JR- is a beautiful 29 year old Quarter Horse gelding who came to the farm 15 years ago from a less than desireable situation in CT. JR is retired and loves to hang out and get belly rubs and scratches..... and of course lots of "old" horse treats!!

TESS- is a very beautiful Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred mare who came to the farm after her owner died. Tess is in love with Wilbur the pig and loves to stand and stare at Wilbur! If Wilbur goes out of her sight she whinnies very loudly.... she is happiest when she sees Him!!!

WOOFIE- is a very fluffy and happy mixed breed pooch who was found living under an abandoned house in South Carolina. She had heart worm disease and is full of BB pellets from being shot at. Woofie is glad that she doesn't have to search for food anymore. She loves belly rubs and walks!

MIKEY- is a very sweet orange and white elderly cat who came to the farm 3 years ago after his dying elderly owner who did not want Mikey to be put to sleep. Mikey is happy and thriving!

MOCHA- is a 14 year old, high energy pup who came to the farm from a shelter in Maine when she was 6 months old. Mocha has had 3 knee surgeries and more trips to the vet than you can count on your fingers and toes. Mocha is totally blind and deaf.....But she can still find the cat food!!!

JAKE & OLLIE- are beautiful green, blue and red medium sized parrots. (Severe Macaws).  They are very messy and very loud!! They love treats and Ollie likes to throw everything on the floor. Ollie has had 2 sinus surgeries in Boston. Jake is 38 years old and Ollie is 22 years old! They love each other madly!! (If you come to visit  you might need to wear ear plugs)!!

THE CHICKS- are from various living situations: NIKKI is a 12 year old Rhode Island Red who has been on the farm for over 10 years! (My vet said that chickens normally live 5-7 years)...........NIKKI still looks like a youngster!  HOPE came from a farmer. BUFFY is a beautiful buff colored girl. SALLY is her little friend BLACKIE is 10 years old and is in with the old girls! MOLLY and POLLY used to live in a deplorable situation with JUNIOR the pig. BEAUTY is a gorgeous black chicken who weighs twice what all of the other chicks weigh. She is big boss chicken and chases everyone else around!! JEANNIE does her best to stay away from BEAUTY! The chicks get treats throughout the day and evening. They especially love mealy worms and lettuce!

DARE TO DREAM FARM & SANCTUARY has been helping animals in need for over 15 years. It is privately funded by the founder. Last year expenses for the animals, including food, supplies and veterinary bills totaled over $19,000. This year we have more mouths to feed and care for. The farm is in need of a new manure trailer to cart away all of the manure (town regulations). We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 which will cover expenses for 6 months. ANY HELP LARGE OR SMALL- IS MOST APPRECIATED!!   THANK YOU FROM ALL OF THE FARM ANIMALS- who will give you kisses if you come to visit!!

The recent humidity and heat on the Cape has been very hard on the animals! Just this week we have had 3 veterinarian visits! ($1,300 big ones)!!

CONNOR was very ill last evening with colic. Old horses, like older people do not drink as much as they need. The veterinarian came out to evaluate CONNOR this am, pumping him full of water and mineral oil- and he is feeling a little better. Colic can be a life threatening condition in horses, we are hoping for a full recovery for CONNOR!!

Once again,

ALL OF THE FARM ANIMALS THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
