Darcy's Eye Surgery

Donation protected
NOTL Cats have rescued a mother with six kittens in January, from under an above ground pool enclosure.  Darcy, one of the  male kittens, was found to suffer from  a condition called entropion.  A condition in which the eyelid is rolled inward against the eyeball, typically caused by muscle spasm or by inflammation or scarring of the conjunctiva (as in diseases such as trachoma), and resulting in irritation of the eye by the lashes (trichiasis).  It is too painful for him to open his eyes.  Ulcerated corneas and secondary infections would continue until he would lose his sight.
Our vet has recommended surgery to correct this condition.   He will live a normal, healthy life after healing from the surgery.  The surgery will cost approximately $2,000.00.
Darcy's foster family are very hopeful that the surgery will be performed in early May.   He is refusing to open his eyes to get his medicated eye drops, and they see how much pain he is in.
NOTL Cats Rescue would appreciate any donations, no matter how small, to help pay for Darcy's surgery.
