Darcey's 100k For A Cure

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." - Christopher reeve (superman) Charlie Ryan is my hero, my inspiration and was like a brother to me. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma at age 3, and lost his battle in early 2014, at just age 6. I witnessed first hand, what it's like for children to go through the nightmare, that is cancer, and I want to make a difference, so hopefully one day, no child, mother, father, brother, sister will have to watch their love one go through the unimaginable. I have always tried to find new things and new ways of raising money for children's cancers, a cause very close to my heart and with double knee reconstructions coming my way in the new year, I knew my goals of riding to Kalgoorlie, and running marathons weren't going to happen anytime soon so I came up with DARCEY's 100K FOR A CURE. Darcey's 100k for a Cure will take place between the 11th and 16th of December and over the 5 days I will be riding 100km, swimming/paddling 100km, and walking 100km as well as completing 100 push ups & 100 sit up’s per day. The 120 hours will be both physically and mentally challenging but will be insignificant compared to what thousands of kids go through every day of their lives. It's so easy to start a fundraiser, you can do anything and everything, as long as you have people behind you to support and donate so all I ask is that if you could, donate any amount of money possible, so together we can make a difference. For Charlie, my superhero ❤️x
