I have some heartbreaking news with a positive ending to share. On Monday August 18th I came home to find Franklin in pain and not using his front legs. He was rushed to Bush Neurology Associates in Leesburg, where he had an MRI. The results were not good. He had ruptured discs - C2 & C3. The doctor told us surgery was the only option to help him lead a normal life. The surgery was extremely expensive but we had no other choice but to do what was best for Franklin. The surgery was performed on August 19th. The doctor was extremely pleased with the outcome & she thinks he will eventually make a full recovery.

Please consider donating to help pay for his surgery. For everyone that donates $10 we will send you a personal thank you card from the special boy himself. For the extremely generous that donate $50 we will send you the 2015 version of the Faces of Franklin Calendar. For the super generous donation of $150 you will get a personal visit from Franklin once he is cleared for travel (within a 4 hour drive).

Also, everyone that donates $10 or more will be entered into a drawing for 2 tickets to the Pens vs Wild game on January 13th, 2015.

Any donations above our goal will be donated to the Friends of Homeless Animals.
