Before I get into any details, I'd like to simply thank you for taking the time to see what has been going on with me lately.
As many of you know, I just moved to San Diego in February of this year. I was so blessed to find a great job and a roommate to share an apartment with. I was really making strides on rebuilding my life and eventually establishing my own home. I was able to purchase a used car in June that was a complete gem. Safe and reliable transportation for me to find a new job and continue my regular trips to visit my kiddos and mom. A 2004 Nissan Altima that we named Pearl.
Unfortunately, I was employed by a small, local business and was let go due to the negative impact of Covid-19. I have had several interviews, however I am still looking for a new position.
Due to circumstances beyond my control at this time, Pearl was impounded for 30 days. In order for me to get her back home, I need to raise enough money to cover the cost of her being towed and impounded for the past few weeks.
While it is completely humbling for me to create this page and share my vulnerability with you, I have to set my pride to the side at this point. It has been almost 2 months since I have been able to see my kids and it's killing me. While I rarely ask for anything from anyone, I am reaching out to my village, my tribe today. This is my last hope to get Pearl back so that hopefully I will be able to find a new job and be there for my mom and kids, who are still in Brawley.
I understand that everyone is going through hard times right now and I just want to thank you for any donation that you are able to make. Every single dollar is one step closer to my goal.
