Danika Hennings

Danika suffered liver and kidney failure in May 2018. She needs a liver transplant to survive. She is 28 years old and lives in Bloomington, MN with her dog and cat. She was baptized and confirmed at Transfiguration Lutheran Church (West Bloomington). Her liver medical team is the U of M. Danika has Medicaid State health insurance to cover the main expenses involved with the transplant and post-recovery. She is disabled and receives an income of only $895 per month from Social Security. From this small amount she must pay rent and all the other expenses associated with living a basic lifestyle. It is not enough to make ends meet. The funds will be used to help offset any expenses not covered by insurance. For example, special foods, adult diapers, on site personal care, and transportation assistance. After the liver transplant, patients will be in the intensive care unit for two days. After that, they are in the regular part of the hospital for about eight to ten days. They then go home, though they may not feel all the way better for up to three months.

This scenario is based on finding a match donor.  We are in need of a Living liver transplant donor now! We are looking for an angel between the ages of (20-50) blood type (O) and in good health. You will undergo surgery and 60% of liver removed. It will grow back to normality within (2) months. You will be laid up for (2) months. There are financial resources available as well as medical staff to take your questions.

Furthermore, liver transplant recipients take medication for the rest of their lives to help prevent the body from rejecting the liver. The Anti-Rejection (Immunosuppressive) medication can make the person ill. Please help Danika through this horrible tragedy. The need is immediate.
