Daniel's Bike Trip
Hi,
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Daniel McDonough. I am a full time student pursuing my Bachelors degree and also have a full time job. I also currently volunteer with the Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS) program in Santa Cruz County. This upcoming Summer 2013 I will be attempting to ride my bicycle cross-country from Santa Cruz, CA to New York, NY with my greatest friend James Schimmel. I am doing this ride as a fundraiser for BBBS, and my goal is to raise money to benefit the program.
The purpose of this page is to help fund my trip. I am hoping to raise $3,500 to cover my expenses. As a full time student trying to transfer to a University, I don't know that I can afford the trip alone. Below, you can find a brief overview of the costs involved with this trip, feel free to contact me for a more detailed explanation.

This trip is really important to me.
I feel very strongly about the good effect this program has on the children involved. Being in the Big Brother Big Sister Program has helped both myself and my "Little Brother" Lucas grow and mature. The happiness the BBBS organization has brought to our lives cannot be expressed in words and I wish to share the experience with the world. By helping me raise this money, you will allow me to complete my journey and in the end reach my goal of raising thousands of dollars for the organization.
