Memorial for Capt. Daniel H. Meyer

Donation protected
Captain Daniel H. Meyer, Ret., USN, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Corrao Meyer, his daughter Carly Barbara Meyer, his son Kyle Daniel Meyer and his wife Alice, and four grandchildren, Ty, Jacob, Hannah and, Hailee.

Capt. Meyer lost his battle against the disease known as progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) which he was diagnosed with back in 2013. He spent his last night warm in his bed with his wife at a place he dreamed of having so many years ago; his amazing home known to so many friends and family as the “Lake House.”

Capt. Meyer was a life-long Navy football fan.  As a small gesture of remembrance, the Arlington Aerials family would like to "take" a seat at the US Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in his honor.  The seat at the football stadium will have a metal placard permanently affixed to it noting Capt. Meyer's graduation from the US Naval Academy (1972) and his distinguished career serving our country in the US Navy.

In accordance with the Meyer family's wishes, any additional funds raised will be donated to the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation to either the "Class of 1972 Distinguished Military Professor Fund" or the "Foundation -Prep Scholarship Fund" which will specifically be earmarked to support a Foundation Sponsored candidate to attend Northwestern Prep, the same school that Capt. Meyer attended.
