Danielle's Return to Mission Field

For the past six months, I have been traveling through Asia and Africa on a Christian mission trip with the World Race. Throughout this time, my team and I have served in partnership with churches and families in local communities to preach the Gospel, work in orphanages, teach English, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. 

Four months ago while I was serving in Nepal, I was diagnosed with a double lung infection and Typhoid Fever. Due to the Typhoid Fever, I also had my gallbladder removed overseas. In the coming months, I developed Tropical Sprue, a malabsorption disease in the small intestines that results in vitamin and nutrition deficiences. After seeing many local doctors,  it was advised that I should return to the United States to get diagnosed and treated by American doctors.


Even though this has been a long journey full of ups and downs and tears and rejoicing, there is one thing I have never doubted: The Lord is faithful. Through this experience, I have witnessed the power of prayer, the gift of community, and the unconditional love of the Father. I serve the Master Healer, and I am happy to announce that I am currently recovering and I have been cleared to return to the mission field!

I am raising money for my flight to return to the field as well as covering the cost of some of the medical expenses I incurred while being treated overseas and in the United States. Through this battle with sickness, the Lord has shown up in huge ways and I cannot wait to share my story and encourage others through their trials.
