Hi!
My name is Danielle I am a current biomedical science student with a burning desire of going into the medical profession. Having had some setbacks in the past, it has not stopped me in given up, this dream I have had for so long.
Throughout the years, I have gained some experience and even volunteered consecutively in different organisation in my community; which I thoroughly enjoy even till today. Yet, I have always wished to gain a new fulfilling experience outside the UK.
Gapmedics are a fantastic organisation that help students such as myself in that, whereby one can gain these new experiences in places such as Europe, Asia and even North America. For that, I have decided to take a leap of faith in going to Croatia in the summer of 2018.
I strongly believe that this opportunity to Croatia would greatly benefit me in many ways. As, I will get the opportunity to shadow healthcare professions for several hours in different departments for the two weeks I plan to go for. Additionally, this would further broaden my experience in clinical settings and allow me to gain new skills and knowledge.
I am someone who often does not admit for asking for help, even as often as I help others, but I know that I this time I cannot do this alone. So, I kindly write to ask anyone who would like to support me with any donation for this trip which I would be very grateful for. I have until March 2018 to pay for this trip, all donation would really help pay towards my placement, flights ticket, travel insurance and other materials needed for the trip.
To conclude, I would like to thank you for taken the time to read my story. I hope to share this trip to Croatia with you all very soon next year. Thank you.
