Hey friends and fam, It seems my body has decided on a wildly inconvenient side quest: I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer (aka naughty titties). On May 27, I begin chemotherapy—an aggressive campaign to evict this unwanted tenant. While I would have preferred a gentler summer hobby, here we are. However, if cancer thought it was choosing a quiet, compliant host, it has made a spectacular miscalculation. I plan to approach this the only way I know how: with next level nutrition, lots of jokes, cuddle puddles, getting deep into nature, and enough dark comedy to keep us all mildly uncomfortable. But even the strongest among us aren’t meant to do hard things alone, so I’m asking for help. In the coming months, I’ll likely need support with meals, nature excursions, childcare, visits, distractions, and—yes—financial help, because fighting cancer is enough of a job without battling capitalism and medical bills too. I’ll be setting up a CaringBridge where anyone who wants to help can sign up or contribute. No gesture is too small. Love looks like many things—meals, texts, memes, prayers, folded laundry, and generosity—and I’ll be grateful for all of it. Thank you all for painting my life with such incredible hues. I truly believe we are all deeply connected mirrors of each other and lately, the love that has been reflected is absolutely breathtaking. I’m in awe of you all.️
