Daniela's Transplant & after care

Donation protected
In late July after a two week hospital stay, Daniela was diagnosed with Wilson's Disease. It is a rare, genetic condition that prevents copper from leaving the body. Copper builds up to toxic levels. It affects only 20,000 people in the U.S. yearly.  Less than .0001 % of the population.

Without a Liver Transplant, Daniela will not survive.

We are seeking donations to help offset costs. Anticipated and unanticipated expenses that insurance may not cover. Just a fraction of the estimated $700,000 cost of the surgery.

Daniela was always active.
A cheerleader in high school along with Synchronized swimming and a gymnast.
6 years ago she lost the ability to run.  Neuropathy caused by the disease has caused sensory loss in her feet, legs, hands and arms. She has lost muscle mass...   She now walks with a cane, and can barely walk 100 feet without feeling fatigued.
The neurological damage can not be reversed.

Her green eyes have turned brown. Jaundice has yellowed her skin and the whites of her eyes. These symptoms will improve to normal with a transplant!

Daniela was engaged to be married when she first got sick. Those plans were put on hold. She is a mother, a sister, a daughter,  a partner, a fiance and a friend. She is only 51 years old.

Please donate what you can. You can help.
Also become a donor. There are not enough organs for patients needing transplant.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
