A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
On May 3rd, 2019 the world went through a dramatic change for many family and friends. Just around 9:30 Friday night AB Specialty Silicones of Waukegan, IL had a massive explosion leaving just some of the frame the building is standing on with a total loss. Daniel Nicklas a young man who was a lab technician there lost his life that night. He had only worked at AB Specialty Silicones since September 2018 . He was a loving son, brother, fiancé, and friend, and will be dearly missed. There are no words to describe what the family is going through. With everyone's help all money donations received will be used to help pay for the funeral expenses leaving the family one less thing to deal with at this sadden time of grief after this unexpected tragedy. Please know that any amount will help no matter how small but will benefit the family. Any contributions are appreciated.
