Hello everyone !
After leaving the crisis in Gaza at the end of February, the Albasha siblings are ready to get back to school. This is what they miss right now. They will need to develop new friends and engage scholastic material and instruction like any other kids their age. We aren’t asking for an advantage just a push to get them back on track in their new environment which will be an adjustment for anyone. Their ages are 6 and the twins both 9 years old. They are ready to start learning in school again after an intense 5 months of danger and uncertainty. Thanks to everyone who helped support their evacuation. There were over 325 people that came together to make it happen. Now we have one last ask from the world…let’s get the kids into on the road as soon as possible.
Their awesome dad Ghazi, found a school nearby for all 3 kids; Daniel, Emily, and Izzedine that they can get right away in Cairo as soon as they pay the fees. Al Naile School is equivalent to 1800 USD per child. For a total of 5400 plus residency fee which I will post in the update section once I have the exact amount.
The family initially hoped to make it to the UAE pre-travel but have decided it would be more economical to stay in Egypt and near family for awhile while they get on their feet. This will give their father some time to look for work as he is as eager as the rest of the family to get back to routine and helping others. These are the final steps or “Phase 3” of family support we are looking to raise funds for.
I worked directly with The Alabsha family who ran a tireless campaign in the first 2 months and were able to disperse over 10,000 dollars to many struggling families that had lost everything. The Alabsha family was a lifeline for many during this difficult time up until the moment they were able to get to safety.
I will be heading to Egypt to see the family in one week. I will keep you all up to date.
In the mean time, please help us get the kids into school and back to some sense of normalcy.
