In July 2017 after the birth of their first child, Daniel and Prue received the sad news that Daniel had to undergo an operation after being diagnosed with testicular cancer. After analysis of the cancer they learnt that he had both seminomas and non-seminomas cells which requires an intense chemotherapy protocol to slow and hopefully kill the cancer which has spread to his abdominal lymph nodes.
After the birth of their first Child, Dan and Prue were ecstatic and couldn’t wait to have another child, but due to the cancer and chemotherapy treatments it will become next to impossible to conceive naturally.
Therefore they have had to go down the path of needing to go through IVF Australia to have sperm frozen so they have a better chance of making the family they once dreamed of having.
During this time Daniel has not been able to work or continue running his carpentry business. Having a newborn baby Prue has had time off work to be there for both Daniel and baby Oliver. Due to all the costs involved with Daniels treatment the small family have run out of money, spent all their savings and maxed out credit cards resulting in Prue returning to 2-part time jobs just to make ends meet whilst Daniel is still battling chemotherapy.
For those of you that know Daniel know that he is always the first person to put his hand up to help anyone out and never expects or will accept anything in return. He is the sort of person who would never ask for help and after seeing how hard they are struggling physically, emotionally and financially this Go Fund Me is the only way to force him to accept any sort of help paying for his ongoing treatments and helping the family through this very hard time.
Any size donation would be a huge help in helping this family and allow them not only to pay medical bills but also go towards their living costs while Daniel is unable to work.
