Daniel's Study Abroad Masters Program in Italy

Hello my name is Daniel Arreguin. I recently graduated from Bethel University in Indiana. After living four years away from home (California), life has taught me so much. By no means it has been an easy road. I have seen how important it is to get out your comfort zone in life. I have grown so much as a person. You'll be surprised how many things you can accomplish on your own. I have played soccer/football my entire life and without it life would have looked so different for me. I have graduated and received an education in Sports Management. My dream in the future is to help the younger generation grow and follow their dreams. I deeply desire to invest in them so they reach their highest pinnacles in the game of soccer. This doesn’t stop there for my dreams, I also want to provide mentorship to guide the younger generation towards a successful path in life.
I want to bridge that gap between the sport and life. Sports are not forever and that is why we need to enjoy them for as long as we can. I believe we can use them as a foundation to reach out to others that need the help. Last month, I got accepted to a masters program in Italy called Soccer Management Institute for 2020/2021. The program has been delayed for late September due to COVID-19. This program offers a masters degree in my major, sports management. This is a one year program where I get to grow my expertise in the soccer industry and continue developing my abilities playing at a competitive level. On top of that, I will have the chance to live in Rome and experience a whole different culture! Talk about going out your comfort zone! To me, this is a blessing and I am very lucky to have an opportunity like this.
The total cost of the program is 26,837.00 Euros ($30,139.00) but I have received some financial scholarship from SMI that brings it down to 22,337 Euros ($25,086.00). I am hoping to raise $20,000. At the moment, I recently applied at Fedex and got hired to help me raise some funds. At the end, I will sum up everything to see the amount of loans I will have to take out.
